Check in times
Please make sure that you arrive at the departure gate in plenty of time to board your flight. Depending on the layout and operation of each airport, the boarding gate may close up to 30 minutes before the scheduled time of departure. Don't forget to allow time for airport security checks, and for what, in larger airports, may be a long walk to the gate. If you miss your flight we will be unable to refund your ticket or transfer you to another flight.
You can check in online from 36 hours and up to 1 hour before your flight departs. Flybe's self service kiosks, check in desks and bag drops close as per below.
Domestic flights:
- Carrying hold baggage
30 minutes before your scheduled time of departure (60 minutes for departures from Campbeltown)
- Hand baggage only
20 minutes before your scheduled time of departure (30 minutes for all flights operated by Loganair)
International flights:
- Carrying hold baggage
60 minutes before your scheduled time of departure
- Hand baggage only
45 minutes before your scheduled time of departure
How to obtain your boarding pass
You need to check in to obtain a boarding pass before passing through airport security. Flybe offers a number of options to allow you to check in at your convenience.
Online check-in
Checking in online allows you to go straight to the security gate on arrival at the airport, or if you have bags to check in our bag drop staff will be happy to help.
Self service kiosks
If you are unable to check in online, self service kiosks, available at most major airports, offer the most convenient way to check in.

Terms & Conditions for online check-in:
- Online check-in is available to all passengers travelling on an e-ticket
- Passengers travelling with hand baggage should ensure that it meets size and weight requirements and does not contain any sharp objects
- Any passengers with hold baggage should report to the bag drop desk
- Boarding and gate information may change, please check the flight information screens in the departure lounge for boarding and gate information
- Any passenger failing to present their boarding pass at airport security and the boarding gate will require their boarding card to be re-issued at a cost of £10 per flight
- Passengers must report to the boarding gate no later than 30 minutes prior to departure. Failure to be at the boarding gate on time will result in your booking been cancelled and bags being offloaded
- All passengers using online check-in must present valid photographic identification or a valid passport for international routes which will be checked at the boarding gate. Any passenger without appropriate identification will be refused travel.
- Unaccompanied minors may not use online check-in
- Any passenger requiring assistance should make themselves known to staff at the bag drop desk no later than one hour prior to departure
- Online check-in may only be used by passengers and check-in should only be done by the person travelling, any passenger using online check-in should be present at the time of checking in to answer the security questions
- Passengers who make a change to their booking once they have checked in online should be aware that this will result in their booking no longer being checked in and they will be required to attend an airport check-in desk
- For safety reasons parties containing more than 2 infants are not permitted to use the online check-in facility
